Description
Stravinsky: Petrouchka; Scriabin: Fantasy is a classical piano recital performed by Gwhyneth Chen, featuring two landmark works of the twentieth-century piano repertoire. Combining dazzling virtuosity with rich musical expression, this recording showcases the distinctive voices of Igor Stravinsky and Alexander Scriabin.
The album includes Stravinsky’s Three Movements from Petrouchka, one of the most technically demanding and exhilarating works for solo piano, alongside Scriabin’s Fantasy in B Minor, Op. 28, a sweeping and lyrical composition that bridges the composer’s Romantic style with his later harmonic innovations.
