Piano Tuning Cost Guide

Piano tuning cost depends on the type of service needed — tuning, regulation, or appraisal — and your piano’s current condition. Each service addresses a different part of the instrument, and a piano may need one, two, or all three depending on how long it’s been since its last service.

Tuning corrects pitch; regulation adjusts the mechanical action (touch and responsiveness); appraisal evaluates condition and value. Each is priced separately.

A piano that hasn’t been tuned recently, or that’s just come out of a move or storage, may need more extensive work from your piano tuner to reach proper concert pitch (A440-442).
